Is it possible to restrict a usergroup to only using the forum side and not the blog side ?

so there would be two usergroups one can access both blog and forum and the other usergroup would only be able to access the forum until the admin switches a switch to allow them to access both

i know there’s already a plugin for syncing both wp/bb but can we toggle one usergroup’s access on and off to either side ?

What do you mean by ‘using’ the blog? Not being able to write? Not being able to read?

If it’s read you mean, just get a custom roles plugin for WP and make a new role that can read, then stop other roles from reading (or vice-versa). Only dudes you promote to that role will be able to read.

on the blog side read only access vs writing, i think i get it now, as a subscriber only, all they can do is read, so that would work out just fine
