Ok now I have a similar but equally bad issue regarding the user profile pages.
I need to have a 404 to start plugin enabled for seo reasons, and when you click on the user profiles it just redirects to the home page. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Actually that is working, however now the 404 to start plugin is not working correctly.
I will continue searching!!

Ok finally fixed it, and it’s working with the plugin.
I just added these lines for functions.php
