Hello,

I would like to be able to turn off “Create new topic” on a per-forum basis. For example, I do not want users to be able to post at the parent level, but they can post on any of the forums underneath that level. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you don’t want anyone posting in these forums at all, then try turning them into a category.

Thanks Brandon. I should also add that I am trying to link to Buddypress’s Group Forum so that the users will be able to click on the forum link and arrive at the site. Whenever I set it up as a Category, under Group Forum settings on the Group page it does not allow me to link to a Category. So is there another way to disable the “Create New Topic”, or to allow Buddypress to link to a Category?
