I am getting “This post is awaiting moderation” message when showing the 3 most recent topic replies. I want to only show the 3 most recent published replies, not pending.

I presume you are also using a moderation plugin ?

Yes. I figured out what was going on. I only see this message when viewing as the user that posted the reply. I do not see this when logged in as another user. Makes sense now.
