once activated go to

dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>Forum Display item 6

But I want to create a second main forum with sub forums.

ok, create 2 pages and use [bbp-single-forum id=$forum_id] to display the main forum for each in a different page, and create the forums belonging as sub forums
