    This is what my forums look like, with all of the subforums crammed together into a single “paragraph”.

    Current Forums

    This is what I want my forums to look like:

    Forum Example

    How do I get there from here?

    I currently have BuddyPress v.9.2.0 installed, but not sure I need/want it. I’m using bbPress v.2.6.9. The theme I’m using is Sydney, but not sure it’s doing what I want.

    you can get to a vertical list and tidy up by using this additional plugin

    bbp style pack

    once activated go to

    dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>forum templates

    and

    dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>Forum Display

    Thanks! That looks SOOOOO much better!

    I enabled the option to add a thumbnail, but when I go to a forum, I don’t see where to add it.

    Ahhh! I was looking on the forum itself. Instructions are a little unclear. Thanks!

    Another question: For forums that don’t have a parent, how do I display the name of the forum at the top of the section instead of the word “Forum”? For example, see the first forum in this list:

    Forum Example

    How do I move the words “General Lace Discussion” to the section header in place of the word “Forum”?

    @robin-w

    Just create a category of ‘general lace Discussion’ and make the forum a sub of this.
