We’ve started making some progress in 2.6 using a custom taxonomy to map usernames to forums, but I’m not 100% convinced it’s the right way to go.
It might make a good plugin to start. I’ll see what kind of effort that takes, and report back here what I’m able to come up with.
Thanks John. In the meantime do you see a work around?
@jaydd
its slated for a 2.7 release now.
Any update on this issue, thanks
It is now 2.5.8! when is 2.7 expected?
Thanks
Hi Guys!
Do you have news about this addition?
It will be wonderful!
Thanks
@lbonini
see https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-2-6-beta/
It has been added to 2.6 already, so we are close to release !

@casiepa
I can set a single moderator per forum, but can’t seem to set several
tried
user1
that worked
but
user1, user2
doesn’t
nor does
user 1 user2
any ideas?
This isn’t working for me. I installed the 2.6 rc3 after having 2.5.14 installed. I set one user who is just has a participant role as the moderator of a forum in the forum editing screen, but that user is not able to see the topics in the admin UI in order to moderate them.
Is there anything else I need to do to enable this?
I haven’t got 2.6rc3 live at the moment as I’m tied up supporting the live version. However I’d guess that moderator support per forum is front end only, as they’ll have a participant role when you access the backend.
I presume that the user is participant and sees no options for topics and replies in the admin section – yes ?
I’m testing version 2.6rc5 – everything works, moderators are added.
You need to enter: “user1, user2, user3”
They do not have access to the backend (this is superfluous …).
All actions with topics and answers (moving, splitting, merging, approval, etc.) are available from the frontend.
Hello,
I entered the username, username in the Forum Moderator meta box but when saved it strips all but the first one in the list. Am I missing something?
