Hi,

1. Would a user Login and Registration mechanism created by me for my WordPress site also work for the bbPress forum within that site? What I mean is, if a visitor user with ‘participant’-level permission registers with and logs into the main WordPress site using the user registration and login pages of the WordPress site created by me, can he also then go to the bbPress forums in that site and create new topics / post messages there? Or do I need to create a separate user Login and Registration mechanism for the forums? Can I create a separate user Login and Registration mechanism for the forums?

2. Would a participant-level user logged into my WordPress site be able to see the back-end? Can I restrict him only to viewing the front-end, ie. the published pages only, and commenting in my articles (and perhaps create topics in bbPress forums as mentioned above)?

3. Would plugins, like ‘Profile Builder‘, for simplifying the creation of WordPress Login and Registration mechanism also work for bbPress?

My wordpress version: 4.3.1, bbPress version: 2.5.4 (don’t want to update bbPress at this moment).

Yes, bbPress is integrated with WordPress.

Yes they can, but they usually can only edit their own profile. Moderators can moderate topics and replies in the backend too. Since their are different roles for WordPress and bbPress, you are able to have more flexibility with how you want to users to contribute to your site.

You can disallow them from being in the backend by using a plugin like WP Admin No Show
