Renaming a topic

    Am I right in saying that renaming a topic will rename the url and thus break existing links to that topic?

    If that is so, is there ability to add a tag to a topic like a little box saying 20.0.0. Like github has little tags saying things.

    Title and permalink should be 2 different things, but if you raise the question it might be you have tried it and it DID change? Can you describe a bit more?
