I’m really looking to get close to this view or am I really just out of luck?

Would love to tighten things up for easier viewing of replies and topics, possibly making it all inline, and even nesting the titles/replies. Thanks for any direction to plug-ins or designs.

The template you’ll want to alter is

loop-single-reply

Would take a lot of altering

create a directory on your theme called ‘bbpress’
ie wp-content/%your-theme-name%/bbpress
find
wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/bbpress/loop-single-reply.php
Make a copy of this file, and put in in the directory called bbpress that you created above, so you end up with
wp-content/%your-theme-name%/bbpress/loop-single-reply.php
bbPress will now use this template instead of the original

I have created/copied that file over to the new directory and I see it in the wordpress eidtor.

However, nothing changed on the forum pages themselves. I take it you got me to the starting line… and now come all the alterations, or should I see something of a change?
