Hi all,

I just set up a user review portion to our site, astronomertalk.com/reviews,

I was wondering if we could create a star plugin, like when one was writing a review they could rate the item they are reviewing 1-5 stars, and then that shows up on their post.

i have no idea , i have no opinions on any of them since i havent tried any of them.
You can try each one on a local site if you want and make your decision off that.

But what i can say is that this rating plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/rating-widget/

is on https://codex.bbpress.org/feature-plugins-tracking/

and it also has some integration with bbpress.

Basically I want it to show up in only a few of my subforms next to the bb codes on top ^^^

I have no idea how your going to show the ratings on a few subforums , your probably going to need help on that too, (i have no idea how to help you on this)

It works perfectly and it’s easy to install and use.

be used to give ratings on Threads of bbPress , with a seperate rating possible on each reply too ?

Also, any other alternatives for the same purpose ?

That really is not what I am looking for, I just want certain sub-forums to have them, then have the starts show up in the title of their forum post.

Probably needs some custom work.

I would agree with @robkk, those links are worth a try. You can actually decide what works for you best by checking thier active instals and ratings by users. Then you can have a look at the screenshots to decide if that is what you would like to go with. I feel its better to go with somethings that has been developed already, tried and tested by users then tryin to build something fresh.
