Hi, I have a Forum names Announcements and I only want to allow the admin to makes posts in this forum. How can i turn off any new posts from the users? I want to have the ability as the admin to make the posts but no users.
Ive searched everywhere and cant seem to find how to do this.

This plugin will let you do this

Private groups

in the settings, create an ‘admin’ group and a ‘user’ group.

use the topic permissions to set this

and then for that forum (you can leave the others alone) , just assign that forum to the admin and user groups and save. You can then use the topic permissions to allow admins to post, but users just to view.

Finally use the ‘assign groups to roles’ tab to give admins the ‘admin’ group and subscribers the ‘user’ group
