No content or access to edit top level “Forums” page

    bbPress Version 2.5.8
    WP MultiSite Version 4.3.1
I have bbPress plugin in a MultiSite. There is only one forum on a subsite dedicated to the forum.

I think all is okay – I am just confused. Everything works.

    Problem:

I have a page I cannot edit, I don’t know how to access the edit. There is no content. It is what would be the landing page for all the forums?
    Home/Forums/…

    http://toni-esl.com/eslforum/write/

You can only navigate to the page with the breadcrumb menu.
I would simply ignore it, but it looks awkward.
Or maybe I have done something wrong?

Any input is appreciated. Please keep it simple, dumbed down.
    Thank you

I cannot see the forums but I do see it in the source code??

Does this only happen in your currently active theme??

    Hi,
It has always been like that since I installed months ago. I can do a 2014 theme – I don’t remember what happened when I did it before.

    POST 2015 THEME CHANGE:
It looks like the page is there. So sorry!

How do I know which themes I can use? I tried to find a list or something. I have not had success – just vague info.

The “Forums” page lists all the topics – not the Forums, is that normal?

I can create a page and use a shortcode to list Forums.

Thank you so much for your help!

    Thanks again!

The β€œForums” page lists all the topics – not the Forums, is that normal?

It is if you set in Settings > FOrums for the forum root to display topics by freshness.

Using that shortcode can work too I guess.

Gee, this has happened again. I keep forgetting what I am doing.

I had a page with shortcode, then I changed the page name and slug. Now I have a generated page without content.

We had bbpress running and all was well but since the last update suddenly the site goes white and does not generate an error it simply just does not show anything.

    http://www.yeoldeways.com/community/

Right now the plugin is deactivated but as soon as we turn on bbpress “poof” white site.

    Any ideas for a solution?

    Thanks in advance. πŸ™‚

    Hi,
You can start from here: https://codex.bbpress.org/getting-started/troubleshooting/blank-pages/
If it did not help, just get back.
    Pascal.

This is odd, but stellar! Recently I still had problems with the main forum page. Both in my theme and 2015 theme. It was in the breadcrumb nav, finally, I don’t know why. There was no page generated for it in the Menu. Now it’s there. The final issue was that shortcode was not rendering on that page, I wanted the forum index there. Today it all works!

Everything is awesome! Maybe there was an update?

For my records: great theme for forums with photos Destin Basic

All of the elements of the forum are there, the breadcrumb nav is correct and works, the forum layouts are excellent. A bbPress ready theme that actually works out of the box.

Great news, happy you’re solved !
    Pascal.
