Sorry, forget to mention, I want everything that a registered member posts or replies to etc to show without moderation. I have also set WP settings to that effect…
Are you sure the moderation plugin is not setting everything to pending, as in pending for moderation?
Yes, there are only 5 check boxes, and they are pretty clear.
Actually this seems to be only a problem with private messages. ONLY private messages are being held as pending even if i am the topic author, I thought a private reply to a topic let the topic author see the message without a moderator approving it.
Never mind!!! I figured it out, in case anyone else views this…
When posting a private reply, the topic author gets an e-mail sent to them with the private message, the private message will never show up within the forum. Private messages (in the forum) are only visible by an administrator.
I thought that the PM dialog would be visible within the forum between the private participants, but actually the private messages are never visible in the forum unless the admin publishes them (which they of course would never do).
At least that is the way I have figured it..if wrong please clarify.
Hope that helps anyone with the same quandary.
One last point, and this may be for the private replies plugin author…but it seems to me that private replies is a one way communication, people can only send messages to the topic author and not start an actual back and forth dialog.
