Multiple recent replies

How can I make it so if one post has the 5 most recent replies it doesn’t show that post 5x in my recent replies wordpress widget? I only want it to show once as it looks kinda dumb having the same topic posted 5x..

tick show author so it wont look that dumb
I did that already… But still think it looks silly I have one thread that usually gets hourly replies and it’s usually on recent replies 3-5 times
did you edit the widget??
Yes to remove the author only but nothing else
put the original code back to fix your problem
I did everything through wordpress.. I didn’t touch any code
I simply don’t want to show a topic 5x in recent replies regardless if those 5 replies are the newest.. There has to be a workaround for this
Yes to remove the author only but nothing else
revert what you did and show the author, so it would look like this
[:)] user 1 on topic 1
[:(] user 1 on topic 2
[:'(] user 2 on topic 1
[:{)] user 3 on topic 1because its less weird than this
topic 1
topic 2
topic 1
topic 1or at least click show date in the widget settings
i know you dont want to show 5 recent replies topics that are the same
other ways are for your users to create more topics and make them more active so the recent replies widget shows recent replies for more than 1 topic , and it doesnt look weird
but other than that if i gave you a function to not show the actual recent replies
if you have these topics that had recent replies
topic 1
topic 1
topic 3
topic 5
topic 7
topic 1and i wanted to only show
topic 1
topic 3
topic 5
topic 7i just skipped them and they arent really recent replies across your site anymore
its just now the bbpress recent topics widget with the topics with recent replies settings onI do show the date currently.. But still I would want only the most recent to show ONCE.
So there is no way around this with JavaScript or anything? Cause I had a forum on forumotion before and this was never a problem.
read my last post again since i edited it
where i talked about the recent topics widget with the topics with recent replies setting
That can work for me.. Thanks @robkk for all the help
