Hi Team,

As part of the Vikinger theme, forum was an integral part for our website http://www.bizcompro.com. However, Forum doesn’t show on the back-end at all. Please see this image – https://prnt.sc/21u9zli

The user can see Forum at the front end but it isn’t in an editable format (user can’t post anything). Please see this image – https://prnt.sc/22buadd

We can’t upload anything on Forums at the backend or the frontend.

When we contacted the theme developers, they have directed us to get a resolution from you. Could you tell us the steps we need to take to get Forums on the back-end so that the users can post their queries and responses?

it could be a theme or plugin issue

Themes

As a test switch to a default theme such as twentytwenty, and see if this fixes.

Plugins

If that doesn’t work, also deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

If you cannot do this to your site (say because it is live) then use the ‘troubleshooting’ features of this plugin to let you test without affecting other users

Hi,

We tried all the recommended suggestions and the problem – Forum Menu is Missing – still continues.

We switched to twentytwenty theme but the forum menu option did not come up. Here is the screenshot – https://prnt.sc/22keops

We deactivated all the plugins except for bbpress and that also didn’t show the forum menu. Here is the screenshot – https://prnt.sc/22kf61w

Finally, as you recommended, we also did a health check and the site health is good. Here is the screenshot – https://prnt.sc/22kfrgs

Since we switched themes and the forum menu did not show up, can we assume it is not a theme issue?

We need a resolution for this problem. Please suggest what can we do to bring the forum menu up.

I presume that the user has the ‘keymaster’ role ?

Yes, that’s right.

By keymaster, do you mean complete back-end control? If yes, then the user has complete administrator control. We can’t see a ‘keymaster’ role either on wordpress or bbpress.

We are getting a ‘Topics’ and ‘Reply’ tab but not the ‘Forum’ tab in the menu. Here’s the screenshot – https://prnt.sc/22qcdfs

only a keymaster can appoint a keymaster.

so go to

dashboard>users>all users and see who is keymaster.

If no-one, then install

bbp style pack

once activated go to

dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>bug fixes

and you will see the ability to add a keymaster
