This has been going on for some time – when people do search keyword searches, I am getting an internal server error. There is no clear pattern to it. Anyone else experiencing this?

As this ONLY happens with bbpress, do you still recommend deleting the htaccess file?

Try a quick rename of the htaccess file as listed to see if it even is the htaccess file causing the issue.

If nothing happens rename it back then try the other solutions.
