Hi,

I have a forum on my domain.com

I also have a forum on sub.domain.com

I would like to copy all the topics and replies from domain.com to sub.domain.com, and afterwards 301 redirect all the topics from domain.com to the new link on sub.domain.com (i.e. domain.com/topic1 redirect to sub.domain.com/topic1).

Can anyone explain how to best do this?

I’m not sure that your approach is really a good one, or indeed how you would 301 each topic in a forum – sounds like a terrible headache.

Why not just export/import using wordpress, and then point your forum menu item at the subdomains forum?
