    @threk

    I installed bb-press on my mac server.

    I can log-in and write the post on it.

    But I can’t activate any plug-ins.

    Ativating action sent me the page : http://myhost/bb-admin/plugins.php?action=activate&plugin=core%23akismet.php&_wpnonce=1a942aa4d3

    but there are error message : Your attempt to do this has failed.

    It’s same both of 0.9.0.4 and Alpha 1.0.

    I made my-plugins folder on bb-press root directory and uploaded plug-ins which I downloaded.

    I can see the list on admin > plugin. But I can’t activate it too.

    Please help me.

    ps.

    I can’t change theme too.

    I think it’s because of file permission.

    I have the same issue. Any ideas anyone?

    I think this is fixed by turning off magic_quotes_gpc in PHP

    This is fixed in trunk BTW

    Hi Sam,

    Unfortunately i might not be able to get into the box as an admin. Can I override that via htaccess until the next rev of bbPress?

    @nightgunner5

    With .htaccess, you’d need to use one of the two following commands:

    #PHP4
    php_value magic_quotes_gpc off
    #PHP5
    php_admin_flag magic_quotes_gpc off

    Thanks, Nightgunner5. I actually got the root password for the box and turned it off at the php.ini level. However it’s still not working. sambauers is there any info/log that will help me troubleshoot this? Thank You for your help.

    Here is the info as listed by my info.php:

    magic_quotes_gpc	Off	Off
    magic_quotes_runtime Off Off
    magic_quotes_sybase Off Off

    @sambauers. You mentioned that this issue was fixed in the trunk, would that be what will eventually be released as RC2?

    Hello.

    make the integration of bb-press, wordpress,successfully, but

    I miss the last step is the activation of the plugin in bbPress integration “, I can not!.

    Is it because I have the version bbpress 1.0.2? and the plugin works with the integration bbpress vercion 1.0 alpha 4.?

    bbpress 1.02 “is before or after bbPress 1.0 alpha 4?.

    When installing “bbpress integration”. Na window appears that asks for my password (the wp-config file. Php), put it, but I also wonder if I have FTP connection, I have not, and will not let me install the plugin.

    What do I do?

    actualiso my wordpress , with that version?, or is related to that I have no FTP connection?

    help
