How to remove /forum from the URL?

    Hello,

    is there any way to remove the /forum from the URL. It doesn’t fit with the breadcrumbs and it isn’t even an actual page.
    I already looked online but any answers to my question that I found were already ancient and deprecated.
    I also tried to remove the Forum Prefix, but this just removes my custom prefix, not the static /forum one.

    Is there any option in the backend I may be missing or maybe a script that I could use?
    I would also have no problem with coding a bit.
