Forums page doesn't display forums

    @eddiemoto

    I’m sure I’m missing something very simple. When I go to mysite.com/forums I don’t get a list of the forums. It simply shows a “Continue Reading”. Odd. However, if go directly to the URL mysite.com/forums/forum/support, the forum seems to work great.

    I’m using the woothemes canvas theme and thought it may be a compatability issue so I switched to the buddypress theme to test. It does the same thing.

    Thanks in advance

    On an interesting side note, I added the short code for the index and it seems to work. Is this the proper way or did it just work because it was a shortcode.

    (Worked for the default theme, not Canvas. Canvas just displays some non-formatted HTML)

    What’s the short code you used? I’m haveing a simular issue. I can see this page: http://mydomain.com/?post_type=forum and my individual forums. But not http://b1ker.com/forums

    @gabstero

    Seems to be a common thing lately judging by the number of posts with the same issue. I see that the plugin created a forums page, but when I go to that one, I see nothing listed.
    However when I go to the mydomain.com/forums i see the forums listed (I added 2).

    I was thinking of adding that link to my menu but is that the orthodox way of doing things?

    In that case that auto-generated forums page is quite confusing (why is that even there?). In the instructions shows how to navigate to the actual forum but mentions nothing about how to set up the page that lists all the forums.

    some enlightenment will greatly be appreciated

    thank you,
    gabstero
