    Hi @robin-w

    I’m not absolutely sure but I feel like it always has been

    ok, I can only suggest you look at possible conflicts

    it could be a theme or plugin issue

    Themes

    As a test switch to a default theme such as twentytwenty, and see if this fixes.

    Plugins

    If that doesn’t work, also deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

    If you cannot do this to your site (say because it is live) then use the ‘troubleshooting’ features of this plugin to let you test without affecting other users

    Health Check & Troubleshooting

    Then come back

    I disabled the theme and plugins. They are all out of the question.

    That’s what it seemed to me, they are all out of the question.

    In addition, here I did the test, the error also exists. The error is therefore linked to the bbpress plugin.

    in this forum, if you look at the left hand in a forum you will see a tick, and ‘subscribe’ and ‘unsubscribe’ – these are actions, so ‘unsubscribe’ in this forum means that you are ‘subscribed’ and is offering you the option of ‘unsubscribing’

    so if it shows ‘unsubsribe’ and you look at subscriptions, you will see the forum listed

    I went too fast, I was on the topic and not the forum. As much for me.

    As said I tried by disabling the plugins and theme on the site.

    Too bad, it’s not an emergency, the forum is not the most used service …

    I’m not sure why you are not working – it works both on this forum and on my test site.

    I tried again and by clearing the browser cache, it doesn’t work.

    I try there by reinstalling version 2.6.6

    I have a preproduction if you want to give it a try.

    I reinstalled the plugin without success

    I have used the “Upgrade User Forum Subscriptions” repair tool with no success

    @robin-w
    I have no idea ;-(

    and the subject subscription still works him.

    It occurred to me because some users indicated that they did not receive an email when they said they had subscribed to a forum.

    The forum subscription seems in fact not to be activated at all, therefore not displayed in profile and therefore without any notification. When I go to a forum, however, there is a trace of the subscription.

    so in

    dashboard>settings>forums – are subscriptions turned on ?

    @simonlepamplemousse

    Participant

    sure, I can continue to subscribe
    I had checked

    I reinstall wordpress 5.6 without success

    I have to re-explain that even reinstalling bbpress, setting the default theme, and disabling any other plugins, the action of subscribing to a forum doesn’t work.

    Very precisely, on the forum in question it is clearly indicated Subscriber. But in bbpress profile, the Subscriptions page does not indicate any forum and there is no notification.

    Suddenly, I dry

    the way subscriptions work is different between versions 2.5.x and 2.6.x – which version are you on?

    @simonlepamplemousse

    Participant

    2.6.6

    but the forum under bbpress dates from December 2016.
    I thought of modifying the version of bbpress
    but I could not find the previous versions for download, including the one under 2.5

    @simonlepamplemousse

    ok it’s changing!

    by going under bbpress 2.5.14 I find the subscriptions to the forum in the progil, and I can unsubscribe and subscribe and the subscriptions page takes it into account

    on the other hand as soon as I pass to the 2.6 and the following ones it does not work any more, I lose the posting of the subscriptions to the forum (but not to the subjects which still work)

    @simonlepamplemousse

    So until version 2.6-rc-6 it’s fine

    And it falls to 2.6-rc-7

    @robin-w

    Moderator

    sorry, I maybe misunderstanding

    bbpress 2.6.6 is the official version, downloaded from here

    Download

    I’m not sure why you are using 2.6-rc-6?

    and 2.6-rc-7 is not released yet, so will have bugs

    @simonlepamplemousse

    @robin-w

    it is the translation that is bad.

    I said I am using bbpress 2.6.6

    but I tried the other versions. Under 2.5.14 it works but from 2.6.0 it no longer works

    Under 2.6-rc-6 and other 2.6-rc-x it works but not under 2.6-rc-7

    I would like to come back to 2.6.6 and that it works

    by the way thanks for helping me 🙂

    @robin-w

    so in 2.6.6 dashboard>tools>forums> can you say whether any are ‘pending’ and can you run ‘upgrade user forum subscriptions’

    @simonlepamplemousse

    Participant

    I do this manipulation every time but without result

    Specifically when I do it the first time, the tool does indicate that subscriptions have been upgraded. But the forum subscriptions page remains empty

    @robin-w

    ok, I am not sure how to help further – I suspect that swapping between 2.5.x and 2.6.x may not help, so it may have worked the first time but not afterwards.
