Hello,

I created 2 foruns, called
“forum” and “forum2”.

I created 2 users, called
“test” and “test2”.

I added the user “test” as Moderator to the “forum”
and “test2” from the Moderator for “forum2”.

The problem is that the 2 users are being able to create topics in the 2 forums, being certain that only the Moderators would be able to create in their forums, how can I solve?

participants can create topics in all public and private forums.

Moderators have the ability to perform actins such as closing topics, deleting topics etc.

If you want some users to ony be able to create topics in ceraton forums, then you will need

Private groups

Consider the fictitious names I mentioned above the forums and users, I thought that just putting users as moderators in certain forums would be enough (see images),

I am trying to understand the ‘Private Gropus’ to make only user X create topics in forum X, and only user Y create topics in the Y forum.

in this case, I put users as “participants”, I placed specific users within each forum as moderators

I managed to solve it with “private groups”, the big problem is that I will need to create many groups.

Excuse me to extend a little, what is this image function for? since I trigger it, I put the user as a moderator and nothing changes.

if you enable that, then in each forum, you can set specific moderator(s)

they are set in a box on then right hand side of the forums when you view them in the dashboard

A moderator can change other peoples posts, delete posts, mark then as spam etc.

now I understand. I thought that by putting users as moderators only they could create topics in a given forum.

I think it is a good suggestion to cite only users who can create topics in certain forums. In the Private Groups plugin, if I have 100 different forums, for example, and each user can only create topics in 1 forum, I will have to create 100 private groups, understand?

without knowing precisely how you want your forum to work, then no

you create groups, uses belong to groups and forums belong to groups, so if

forum a and forum b both allow group 1, then any user in group 1 can access both forums
