Favorite forums view

Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to customize the forums home page view?
Suppose the site has a lot of forums and most users are interested only in certain topics. Then it would be great if users could mark certain forums as favorites, which then can be displayed on a “my favorite forums view”. This would allow each user to customize the forums home page according to their own interests.
Is there such a possibility? Unfortunately, I have not found an extension like this.
