I messed with it a little more, and it seems to have something to do with the slug.
Even though I title the page “Firefighter Forums”, if the slug is “forums” or the URL is http://mysite.com/forums, then the title of the page becomes “Shop”
But if I change the slug/URL to something else, it displays the title of the page correctly.
Anyone have ideas why?
Thanks!
Sorry for replying to this old stuff, but I have nearly the same problem.
When I use the bbPress slug /forum the page title becomes empty, only “Forum |” is displayed.
When I change the slug of the forums page the title is correct.
Please see the effect on the two identical pages:
Using bbPress slug – Title missing
Using custom slug – Title displayed
The forum is visible only for logged in users but you can see the effect in the page title.
Thanks
Chris
What theme are you using? Might be something in there causing it.
@entrapped
edit the custom post type/post type archive titles for bbPress which should be these below in your All in one Seo plugin settings.
forum archive
topic archive
forum
topic
reply
by default without an seo plugin the titles should display like this
topic: your topic title | yoursite
@pinkishhue: I’m using Weaver Xtreme Theme.
@Robkk: The custom titles in AIO SEO are all set to %page_title% | %blog_title%
There are none of the forum related options you said to check. (Maybe in pro version)
The forum is displayed via shortcode on a standard page.
When I remove the forum shortcode the title is displayed correctly. Adding the forum to the page removes the title.
