Deleted Topics show count in Forums Admin

    I’m setting up a new site and have been testing registration and forums workflows.

    In an effort to reset the site back to 0 content – I deleted all test users and their topics in BBPress. After deleting all topics, I went to the trash and deleted them permanently.

    Topics now shows nothing. However the number of topics still show up in the topics column in forums admin.

    Further, the Forum list no topics but has the following message at the top:

    This forum contains 3 topics, and was last updated by No Topics.

    Wierd. OK.

    So I opened each Forum and just clicked Update. The topics count cleared in the Forums Admin.
    However the Notice message I refer to above now says 0 topics.

    Other Forums with no posts don’t show this message. They state;

    This forum is empty.

    Also I noted that all Forums that previously had topics still specify a user in the ‘last updated’ column of the forum on the forum index.

    Thanks for coming with me on that one.

    I just found the Reset Forums Tab under Tools > Forums.
    I found it by Googling: ‘reset bbpress forums’

    All better now.
