I did a full install of word press yesterday with no issues. Today I tried to install bbpress and I can’t access the database. I am trying to use the same database used with word press so I know the database is set up correctly. I went into advanced settings to change host, using different tags, and I even tried to create a config file with the database inf, but it still doesn’t work.

Ant ideas or suggestions?

no you are doing it wrong. recheck with caution.

dbname, user, pass – same

but in bbPress they are defined like BB_ i.e. with a prefix

check again and you should be fine
