Cannot find 'bb-admin' anymore..

  • Hi :)

I recenetly set up a forum at piloten.no/forum. I think i managed to get the cookies and all synced, because when i log in to my wp-admin i get logged inn at my forums as well. Only problem is that i can’t fint the bb-admin panel. It is supposed to be on /forum/bb-admin but that just redirects me to /forum.

When i’m logged in at the forums i cannot find the ‘ADMIN’ link that used to be there before…

Sounds like you’re not the keymaster at the forums, so you won’t have an Admin link and won’t be able to access bb-admin.

Try clearing all your cookies or a totally new browser, and just log in to bbPress, not WordPress, and see if it works.

I tried, but still the same. I think i may have called my keymaster user ‘admin’ when i did the bbPress install, same as my user in WP, do you think that may have something to do with it not working?

Is there any way to make me keymaster other than in the bb-admin panel?

    Thanks-

This sounds rather like my recent (still unsolved) problem:

I for sure see the Admin link, yet nothing will bring up the Admin panel. I understand the problems may be dissimilar, yet there could be a common issue.

Yeah, strange thing is that i could get to the bb-admin before i “integrated” with WP. Frustrating.

Okay, I just ran this plugin (https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/fix-admin-access/) on WP and it worked. I now get the ‘ADMIN’ link in the forums when logged in :)

There’s another problem now though, all the bbPress admin panel graphics are gone, leaving just black-on-white text in a messy layout.. Here’s what i get: http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/6884/bilde2i.png

    Any genious sollutions for this?

As expected, it did not solve the problem I have after upgrading from 0.9 to 1.0 (I can see the Admin link, it just does not work, and I expect a URL rewrite problem but there is no .htaccess file).
