bbPress 2.5 is out!

Discuss bbPress 2.5 here!

Woot 🙂
First, thank you to everyone involved! 🙂
Second, apologies for the dumb question, but I remember this from bbPress 2.4 and it is mentioned again above:
What does “replacing comments with bbPress topics” refer to exactly?
That instead of using WP or other (disqus) commenting system, comments are only posted to bbPress as forum threads? or something else?
Congratulations, Thanks for everyone 🙂
hi, i have a children template.. have you update a local template in any parts?
If yes, i must to add new modify in children theme..
Awesome! Congratulations to the Devs and Contributors 🙂
After the upgrade to 2.5 there are CSS errors because the include is broken! The cause is that the programmers didn’t thought about people hosting WordPresss (and bbpress) on Windows platforms. (Windows uses a different slash and different directory root/paths).
See my other topic about this. I’m hoping for a 2.5.1 fix 😉

Note that the slashes are missing from the ‘plugin_dir’ part.
I think the problem is within the “private function setup_globals” of the bbpress.php file or the “public function __construct” of the bbpress-functions.php file.
(masked my directory and sitename with XXXXXXX)
Link to changelog?
I’m also getting this same problem @roeller.
The changelog is here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/changelog/
I’ve been looking forward to better buddypress notifications integration. How do they work?
@roeller & @sk_12 There is a fix now available if you want to grab it before bbPress 2.5.1 https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2481
@synaptic Look at this actual blog post, instead of comments it is this forum discussion

Hi all, i link this topic for forum subscriptions issue (it not show anything in user panel)
and ticket: https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2480
thanks for the style sheet fix. any idea how long before its officially fixed in bbpress so i can decide whether to have a go at it myself or to wait?
i’m a little nervous about messing around with code as updates seem to break the things i change.. ironically in this case.
also, in the patch would i just copy and paste it all? or should i not include/remove the parts highlighted red?
thanks
You must delete red parts and paste green parts… no other!!
i added the 2481.01.2.patch but bbpress still breaks my site when active (it was fine before the update)
and here’s screenshots of what’s happening on my site: http://imgur.com/a/4SNAC
sorry, i have learned from this to wait a few weeks before updating – but if anyone could help me to see what what i’ve done wrong here that’d be a huge help.
EDIT: As your issue is fixed I removed the huge code chunk you posted. Netweb 3rd Dec
https://www.hosting-4-oscommerce.com/forums/ is a page post with `<div>[bbp-forum-index]</div>
<div>[bbp-topic-tags]</div>` and is all messed up. It did not look like this before the update.@inetbizo There is a patch for this issue: https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2481
https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2481#comment:7 I made a comment and reverted back to 2.5.0
Hi there,
have updated in my test environment first and got all the css errors. Have applied the patch and it is still not working. Have reverted back to 2.4.1. Do you know when 2.5.1 will be released to properly fix this issue.Kind regards
