See and I just turned off Akismet for catching nothing but ham :/

FYI, the upgrade instructions still work, though Sam, you might want to remove ‘These instructions cover upgrading to version 0.9.0.2’ and the mention of config.php (are we really supposed to rename that? I just turn off my plugins, copy the my* folders, htaccess and bb-config over to the new folder, and rename them both)

I’m assuming the legacy counter is either something in progress or a url typo?

    Ooops, should be there now.

I just read upgrade instructions. What about my-languages directory?

    Yeah, that too, wiseacre

Third, keep the following files and directories.

    1. bb-config.php

    2. my-plugins/ (if you have it)

    3. my-templates/ (if you have it)

    4. my-languages/ (if you have it)

I’d also suggest keeping .htaccess if you’ve modified it!

Yes, .htaccess should be added to the list too. More eyes see better :)

For upgrading from version 1.0.1 to 1.0.2, is there a database change that would require you to run the upgrade script? I would like to know rather than have to log in and check each install individually. FWIW, one I did so far did NOT have an upgrade message in the backend, so I am assuming I do not need to, to go from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2. Just checking.

@chrishajer, no database upgrade is needed.

    Hi everyone,

I am about to build a new forum for a client. What are the new main features in version 1.0?

Do you still need to install a heap of plugins to allow PM’s image posting etc?

    Hello,

just upgraded to 1.02 and found some issues regarding the “unique email address” bug from before.

Btw. in older version that was a problem too :)

update the email address in your profile:

If you change the email address into an existing one, it works fine but there is no message about (This is a tiny one)

    Register process

I was busy to find some better way to add the recaptcha to the register form and noticed that the login form field is only tested if the email field is already filled. That worked better in version 0.9

    everything else looks fine

I forgot to deactivate all plugins prior to upgrading to latest version (from 1.0.1), but everything seems to work fine… is deactivation a vital step?

    No.

Im trying to complete instalation of the bbpress on my site but im stuck. theres a step where im supposed to go to the bp-forums folder and go to the bbpress-plugins folder and find the buddypress-enable.php file. this is where i get stuck. theres no such file on that folder. y idea what can i do to solve this inconvinience?

I think you’re actually trying to install buddypress and bbpress.

Make sure you’re looking in the right directory – it’s very easy to confuse “bp” with “bb”.
