BBFacelook (work in progress)

    Hello

I am quite a newbie in regards to web design/development, especially wordpress and bbpress are quite tricky to learn when not knowing anything about php etc.

For about 5 months i have been hacking away and pasting existing code to create what I hope to be a nice allround bbpress/buddypress theme.

It is still being worked on but I would love some feedback on my progress.

    BBFacelook theme development

    Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.

I am using a plugin “invite anyone” which means people can only join up after email invite.
This is to prevent trolls for the first year at least when live.

O ok – Trolls suck!!! I heard the gov. pays them to sway opinion on forums.

Layout of the site is close to finished.

I had to remove RTMedia’s plugin cause it was making everything slow, still a lot of problems with the high amount of Jscript and CSS from plugins that make the world run slower but getting better.

Have a look and let me know what you think.

Been busy making lots of updates on css, could use a few feedbacks to see if it is extremely slow or not friendly UI.

I made an useraccount to test if you like:

    username: demo
    password: deom

    checked it out

are you basically making all the css from scratch?? like even the menu positioning (idk why that looks off on my side)??

ya need to fix alot in the css positioning of things and add a tiny bit of spacing to some items

make sure everything is aligned up right and not look awkward in some areas

Thanks for checking it out, is there a way you could upload an image of how it shows, and what screen resolution do you use cause my @media css is not complete.

Yep I am redoing all CSS from scratch and added the essential plugins hardcoded to make them less bulky on code.

Again I really appreciate all input to make this a reasonable theme for all to use.

    Hi all

A lot of changes have happened since I was last here, nameserver changed and hosting the production site on my-latest.com.

    Activity Wall
Added a “like” system that actually works 99% (working to make it 100%)

    Profile pages
Now have the buttons/links to change avatar and background on the actual image containers.
