Adding forum to parent category

I have a parent forum A as category. I want to put a subforum B under forum A. Just making subforum B a child forum doesn’t list it on the category page. Matter of fact, I can’t get anything to list in a forum category. What am I missing?
version 1.0 alpha, btw.
