403 Forbidden Error after Installation

    So 0 settings have been edited, 0 forums created. It’s essentially freshly installed on wordpress. When I click the forums link on the wordpress admin controls page, a 403 forbidden error pops up.

    I have tried deactivating memberpress to see if there was interference with that plugin, but that isn’t showing anything either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    It could be a theme or plugin issue

    Themes

    As a test switch to a default theme such as twentyfifteen, and see if this fixes.

    Plugins

    If that doesn’t work, also deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

    Then come back

    Ok I switched themes to twentyfifteen and that didn’t work. Then tried your suggestion of deactivating all plugins except bbpress and that didn’t work. Also, when I did deactivate all the plugins, bbpress was not working then.

    ‘deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress’ !

    ok I’d suggest you contact your host provider to see if they can help, it may be a host thing
