In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updates
updated the demo, you’ll see a few widgets in the sidebar (ticket already open…)
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesI only see akismet as being a core plugin out of that list myself.
I know I’ll be writing a few plugins for it myself once it gets to that stage.
I think JJJ has said that other method of integration may be possible, but by going the theme route it does allow for better templating of the forum.
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesWhat is your server setup?
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesThere won’t be loads, but I’m confident there will be a few. But more importantly there will be documentation on how to adapt existing themes. This is where child themes come in really handy.
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesThe included theme is an example – in time you’ll see a few themes that are bbPress ready.
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updatesgswaim, test it out and see if it does what you want – I’d be inclined to say yes.

In reply to: Justin Tadlock's Forum Plugin for WPI’d totally agree if there was built in functionality within WordPress for image uploads by subscribers… which there isn’t.
hence better served by a plugin

In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updates@Carmellon, erm you do know that is what this thread is about? JJJ has said he was hoping for a beta release by the end of the year (If I recall correctly).
But you can join in the testing by using the download link on this page:
In reply to: Justin Tadlock's Forum Plugin for WPby Default I would hope the answer is no, personally I think that it is better served by a plugin.

In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesFinally, not in the readme, copy the bbp-twentyten to your themes directory.
This is not necessary, and you should not do it. One of the latest changes specifically addressed the earlier issue that we were having, and if the theme does not work correctly from within the plugin please, please, let us know.
@Deyson, I assume other plugins show up correctly etc?
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updatesis this hosted, or are you trying locally?
In reply to: Forum attacked by spammersI’ve written a quick plugin for bbPress that allows you to skip akismet after x amount of posts.

In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesI might write one once the plugin is released, basing it on similar functionality I did for other forums.
There was another Mod about, chrishajer. But he too seems to have disappeared as of late.
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updatesas well as deactivating plugins, try using the default twenty ten theme.
If it still doesn’t work, the only thing I can suggest is a memory increase.
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updatestry using this link:

In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updatesnope, but I live in hope. Though JJJ is one
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updateswhat is in the bbpress directory?
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesWorks OK for me, I never thought of just changing that portion (doh).
Thanks.
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesThat doesn’t work though – then you’d have to put the forum in that subsite as well.
So I’ll raise a ticker for the roles.
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – UpdatesCan I suggest that in the core plugin some new roles are added:
Forum Mod & Forum Admin.
Admin may not be quite as useful, but Moderator surely will be.
