Version 2.6 is supposed to address performance issues, but there is no indication as to when it will be released. At this point, I am considering running the alpha version in a live environment just to increase performance.

Thanks for the reply — however, as mentioned in my opening post we have already tried that solution. It helped, but posting is still extremely slow (from 30-35 seconds to about 10 seconds).

I had this same problem and had to turn notifications off permanently after the transfer. I believe some people have suggested making sure that buddypress is not activated during the transfer, ie to only activate buddypress after the bbpress migration has taken place.

    Is this plugin still active/supported?

Those patches are over two years old. I’m running the latest version of bbpress and still have this issue. Do I need to apply the patches above to core? Why aren’t they in the current stable release?

@daoist That got it, thanks. Is this something I’ll have to do regularly (run the repair tool to get accurate freshness stats)?

My apologies. Will do. Feel free to delete this thread.

I’m having an issue with redirects after replying to a post, too.

I’ve noticed that most of the time, it seems to work OK – if you post, it submits and you are redirect back to the post you just submitted (ie the new ‘last post’ in the topic).

However, it looks as though there are issues when it comes to dealing with pagination.

For example, getting to the end of a topic with the following URI:

    /forums/topic/name-of-topic/page/155/

The redirect after submitting a reply is:

    /forums/topic/name-of-topic/#post-599473

So basically, the pagination slugs seem to have been stripped. As a result, the poster is directed back to the first page of the topic.

Is anyone else able to reproduce this?

Any way of implementing this without editing core files? I’m fine editing the functions file but am less happy with modifying loop-fourms.php

Wonderful news! I know exactly how it feels to hit that ‘Import’ button – although the process seemed to go a lot smoother for me (fingers crossed)!

I disabled threaded replies and this is now working.

So after importing, we can’t use threaded replies?
