Yeah, sorry for not updating on this. Since the forums are completely empty anyway I plan to move into bbpress as soon as 1.0 RC1 is released. My goal was to integrate the forums and the blog, but at the time I originally created the forums it was not possible without heavy modification which proved too time consuming. I have moved my testing of BBpress and wordpress integration to http://www.ridelegend.com/community/ however
In reply to: WPMU 2.6 and Alpha 1.0I am getting this too… wordpress 2.7 & bb press 1.0 alpha 4
Well, the issue has not been resolved and it is a problem with Alpha 2. For now I myself am going to stick with Alpha 2 until an update (or plugin for wordpress as the keymaster mentioned in the linked topic above) is released. This problem would probably require some code modification, but I don’t have time to carouse the php at the moment. At least they forewarned us by calling it alpha
Yeah it wasn’t an issue with alpha 1 for me either. It must be something about bbpress that was changed.
There is a problem with cookie sharing mainly in that WordPress fails to (because it doesn’t know it has to) set a cookie required for access to the bbPress admin area.
But wordpress seems to set a cookie that both bbpress and wordpress recognize (other than not being able to log out via bbpress), and bbpress sets a cookie that only bbpress recogizes. Does bbpress delete/overwrite the wordpress cookie, thus causing wordpress to be logged out after logging in with bbpress?
Well, at least I’m not alone in this issue.
I haven’t made a version of the theme available anywhere yet. I modified the Kakumei theme just for this site. Maybe when BBPress 1.0 comes out I will make a neutral version of the theme for everyone. I could do the same for the WordPress theme as well.
In reply to: WiiPlayGames.com ForumsJust an update, I have modified the Nintendo Forums theme quite a bit since posting this. Looking better and better!
Thank you to the developers for creating such an awesome forum system!
In reply to: WiiPlayGames.com ForumsNo actually it wasn’t too difficult. I first tried “Options +MultiViews” in the .htaccess file but with my host it didn’t work right. So I just visited the /bb-admin/rewrite-rules.php page and added the results it gave me to the .htaccess file and after uploading the file they worked like a charm!
