Thanks for the reply, Ipstenu. Can you please explain what changes I’d need to make and what I would need to insert into my templates in order to pull the ‘comments’ RSS feed into my sidebar?
Can I get some help for this?
I meant I wanted to pull the latest replies for topics (bbpress, not wordpress) into my sidebar.
I’m still trying to figure out a way to get this worked out. Any takers? In reply to: Limit the # of chars in a topic title?
For the time being, I set the td with a max-width and a hidden overflow and it seems to be doing the trick.
This is the link. The navigation works from page 1 to 2 but not back to page 1.
Has anyone figured out a fix for this yet?
Yes, I have permalinks on.
Same here. Kakumei v. 1.01
I’ve searched and there isn’t a <?php bb_new_topic_link(); ?> in my front-page.php.
Thanks Chris, but I’m not sure if that answers my question unless I overlooked something.
I’m trying to change the actual link so “?new=1” is instead replaced by “add-new-essay”. So, basically I want the link to be http://mysite.com/add-new-essay
Also, regarding my second problem, I’ve looked in every template file and I can’t find where to change “Add New Topic”. I want to change that to make it say “Add New Essay”.
Also, when I go to add a new topic, how can I change the words “Add New Topic” to something else? I searched through files and couldn’t find anything.
It worked! Thank you!In reply to: show a snippet of the post under the topic title?
Thank you that worked!
I need it to be working on front-page.php. Can you further elaborate on the instructions? I’m not quite sure I’m following.
Is there a way I can work that into this: <?php topic_posts(); ?>
Thanks you guys.
johnhiler – How would I subtract one from the post count?
tomdebruin – thanks for helping but unfortunately your solution didn’t work for me. my topics are still getting bumped to the top.
gautam – thanks, your solution worked!
now i just have this one problem left w/ the topic bumping thing and i’ll be set. any other ideas i should try?
After posting a reply. I know it’s normal for the topic to be bumped to the top along w/ the “Freshness” but I would like the Freshness to be replaced by the exact date when topic was created and for it not to bump to the top when someone replies.
I’m using the latest 1.0.1.In reply to: Show exact date of post? (not freshness)
I used fel’s plugin and I’m getting December 31, 1969 for every post. How can I fix this?
