Update WordPress to 4.7 and bbpress to latest 2.5.12.
Also share your screenshot for others to figure out what is going on.
Is the bug still present? I am using 2.5.12, released on December 9, 2016.
And still facing the same problem.
Theme: Avada 5.0.4
Wordpress: 4.7
BBpress: 2.5.7

But, it has not been updated since 2 years.
