As long as you set the correct role for your members, there’s shouldn’t be a problem
what is the correct role? subscriber?
If you’re runing bbPress only then select “Forum Participant”. If you allow your user to post articles beside forums then choose between “Contributor” or “Author”.
I’m not allowing them to contribute only subscriber access.
The default access bbPress gives should be fine.
what I’m asking is, is there anyway i can all ready enable my 55+ subscriber only to be allowed to post?

bbPress uses the default WordPress registration page.
DOMAIN/wp-login.php?action=register probably works.
