I can't get Akismet working with BBpress
-
I have a WordPress blog integrated with BBpress.
and I”m having trouble Akismet.
I activated the Akismet plugin after I
installed BBpress then several days later I noticed no one was posting. I
thought this was strange because in those few days I had about 100 people
register.
I selected the check box next to “Create a page that shows spam
statistics” on the Akismet page. The page showed there was 26 post in the spam section.
I selected spam in the drop down box but the messages do not show up even
after I click on filter. I don’t know of any other way to get to the
messages to see if they are all spam.
I deactivated Askismet and a post showed up within 30 minutes. Any ideas? I would like to have a
spam filter.

Still no ideas. Here is the url if that helps.
Ok, lets see what we can do here:
1) What version of WordPress?
2) What version of bbPress?
3) Are they integrated (share login cookies)?
4) Are they “deep integrated” (can call functions in the other program)?
5) Do you have the latest version of akismet on both WP and bbP?
6) What happens when you log in and post?
7) What happens when you log in and post as a new user (i.e. not as you)?
Are you using buddyPress?
9) Have to tried disabling all plugins and trying again?
10) Are you using a premium (paid for) theme?
11) If so, have to tried switching to the default theme?
12) When you say things appear in your akismet que and then akismet
13) Are comments getting through akismet on wordpress?

Um, is this on the wordpress side or the bbPress side?
Yes, I am having the same problem. I will try to answer your list of questions.
1. WPMU 2.9.2
2. BBPress 1.0.2
3. Yes.
4. I am not sure, but I think so.
5. No, akismet is only in BBpress via the FTP server.
6. I am able to post.
7. It is caught as spam.
8. Yes, Buddypress Magazine Theme
9. No.
10. Yes.
11. This is on the bbpress side only. WPMU is working just fine.
1. WPMU 2.9.2
bbPress doesn’t play well with WPMU. I’m afraid you’ll pretty much have to use BuddyPress.
That said, there should be a plugin somewhere that allows you to specify people to skip akismet. I actually think it’s called “skip akismet”, but really you’re looking at a short term fix.
Sorry
