Could you link to the site you are experiencing this issue, it could just be some CSS hiding the replies?
I have a private forum, and it claims it’s empty, so I suspect the reply or topic to really not beeing there

Okay definitely not just CSS.
So any new simple text post will not submit in the frontend of your site in a topic?? If a participant say had the the link limit you set in Settings > Disscussion their post would have the status pending which won’t show up regularly in the topic list of a forum.
It could be a possible tricky caching issue.

Found the cause. I’m posting to o-norge.no/ and the i get redirected to the site url o-norge.no/wordpress/forum, and then the POSt is gone
I did som changes to my nginx config to accept both url’s, and now it works fine.
