Hi Damland,
You have a public forum ? If so, please post the link.
Thanks, Pascal.
Sorry, that page doesn't exist!
it was just an example url @casiepa
Ok, well, a example feed would be https://bbpress.org/feed/?post_type=topic/
Pascal.
Hi @casiepa
your feed shows topics for all the forums.
I need to show only the topics of one group forum
for example this one: http://layerunion.com/groups/urban-growth-renewal/forum/
but http://layerunion.com/groups/urban-growth-renewal/forum/feed/?post_type=topic/ doesnt work
Thank You (y)
I am not entirely sure group forums made with BuddyPress have feeds specific for the forums.
Any regular forum without a group all you had to do is add /feed to the end of the url to see the feed, but that does not work for the group forum page.
The group does have an activity feed though.
There is usually an RSS link on the main page of the group that leads to the RSS feed.
Hi @robkk thanks for reply
Yes its http://layerunion.com/groups/urban-growth-renewal/feed/
but it shows all the activity of the group, what I need are the topics of the group
The forum feeds are still there, you just have to go to the original forum feed url as stated in this new trac ticket I just created.
Hello @robkk
http://layerunion.com/forums/forum/feed/ doesn’t exit
I need the feed of a specific forum only (of a buddypress group)
I might have gotten the urls wrong I was pulling an all nighter yesterday.
It should be something like this for regular forums.
localhost/forums/forum/forum-name/feed/
If you have forums in categories it would show up like this.
localhost/forums/forum/category-name/forum-name/feed/
It was just an example url, not anything particular to your site.
Here is the url to the feed for the ios development group forum.
http://layerunion.com/forums/forum/group-forums-2/ios-development/feed
So you have to go to each of them like this. Where the “forum-name” is the actual forums name, and “yoursite.com” is your sites domain name.
yoursite.com/forums/forum/group-forums-2/forum-name/feed
Wow thanks @robkk
How can I hide the replies?
I need to show only the topics but no repliesOh sorry forgot you wanted a forum feed with only topics, I was just focusing on group forum feeds in general.
To display only a specific post type in the feed like topics, just add
?type=topic
to the end of/feed
. So in the end using the example url again it will be something likeyoursite.com/forums/forum/group-forums-2/forum-name/feed?type=topic
I think even this works too.
yoursite.com/forums/forum/group-forums-2/forum-name/feed/?type=topic
Hi @robkk
I’ve already tried that but its not working:
http://layerunion.com/forums/forum/group-forums-2/international-travel/feed?type-topic
Still showing replies
My bad for the typo. I think it should be =topic instead of -topic
@Robkk Ok, now it works, thanks!
why I get this:

Instead of the topic text?
http://layerunion.com/forums/forum/group-forums-2/international-travel/feed?type=topicThis might be another bug or something isn’t quite there yet haha. There is suppose to be some content.
Hi @robkk
Yes I think its a BBpress bug because I have the same problem with only BP+bbpress active on default theme. After 1 year the bug is still there, where it will be fixed?
Apologies, the fix is for bbPress 2.6
Afterall, we will have a fix.
Eagerly waiting for 2.6 (which fixes many bugs)
