Explain exactly where to find the bbp-about or the bbp-repair pages you are talking about, I have an idea for the repair pages but not the about page??
About: It’s the default page after you activate it.
Repair: it’s tools.php?page=bbp-repair I think. Found it on fora on how to fix it.
I simply do not see it in any of my menu’s and the pages direct links cannot be opened due to permissions.
I cannot duplicate the issue you are experiencing.
I renamed my admin user
changed the user ID to something besides 1
And also changed my database table prefix.
I then installed bbPress and saw the About Page fine.
I also went to Tools > Forums then went to Repair Forums and still see no error.
No new menu is added neither in the admin panel, so I have no way to use it, activate it or see it.
This is forum bbPress menu items like Forums, Topics, and Replies right?? This is not just the About Page and the Repair FOrums page??
The about Page can be accessed by going to the plugin in your plugin list and hitting the About link, and the Repair Forums Page can be accessed by going to Tools > Forums then went to Repair Forums.
I tried several database changes as mentioned in the forum, but nothing worked.
Well just so you know code in topics more than 2-3 years might be for the old standalone version of bbPress which might be useless and may break your site even.
Is there a way I can send you a private message with a wordpress login and password so you can see it?
I tried to uninstall and re-install, but I always have the same issue.
No new items are added inside the admin panel and visiting direct links does not have permissions.
The submenu Forums inside “Tools > Forums” for instance does not exist.
Can you take a picture of it first for me??
I attached a movie of me installing and activating it.
As you can see, no new menu items have been added.

I cannot control/open/manage the forum.
It could always be another plugin.
Leave bbPress and Ithemes Security as the only active plugins to see if the issues persists. If the issues doesn’t show anymore, reactivate your plugins one at a time to see what could be causing the issue.
Ok, I found the culprit:
qTranslate Plus
As soon as I activate that plugin, bbpress is gone.
Looks like an old known issue:
Conflict with qTranslate
Okay glad you found the plugin that was causing the issue. I will try to make a list of plugins that cause issues with bbPress in the near future.
Now I guess you might have to find an alternative to that plugin.
I found following fix:
Conflict with qTranslate
download and installed the plugin and now it’s working 🙂
haha I didn’t read the topic before and see that there was a fix, glad you have your issue resolved.
