Forums not populating recent posts

Hey all, might be a simple little issue, but I can’t seem to get it working.

The forum main page is populating the number of topics, post and freshness but once you click on the specific sub-forum title to view the page of all post it is taking us right to “create new topic” in forum.

Thoughts on why it’s doing this? Fixes?

I’m now wondering if the issue is because of the is_search() is TRUE issue that some people are having? Does anyone know if I can check if this is the issue?

the forum is currently down, we are working on getting it back and I will post a link if we don’t get it working.

check out this guide and the subpages in the left sidebar

you can also try these two plugins one at a time and see if they do anything.
