Hi. I noticed that bbpress.org have some changes in the design. I have some comments about it. I think it will be useful, because I see an errors in the design.

My point is – make most important things on the pages larger and use high contrast colors. Secondary components, like counters. categories, tags – smaller and low contrast.

    bbpress

    bbpress smooth

For example, checkout any github issue page — the header much larger than colored labels and also hight contrast.

It is the same with the Buddypress site, eyesore.

Not the way to get people to the right category but makes it clutered

I’m not sure that I completely understand that you say. But few weeks ago this super big green labels not appeared on the forums root at bbpress.org.

I think they have done a great job with the forum, the small tag/label sitting next to the forum titles could do with being made a bit less obvious, but i’m not sure I would label it as an eyesore or super big green labels.

    I like it.

Th green labels are a lot easier on the eye then their Buddypress red counterparts

And these forums look good, I also agree with that, just those Category labels are ugly, but also understand their purpose.

Gotta agree with you ! But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if that’s the worst you can find then it’s doing pretty well 🙂

yeah these labels are pretty harsh in the green color they need to tone it down a little to a lighter green or change it to just a border.
