topic permalinks 404

    I just noticed that my topic permalinks are getting the category and forum slugs prepended to them domain.com/forums/topic/category-slug/forum-slug/topic-slug/

    This is producing a 404, However domain.com/forums/topic/topic-slug/ works fine… why is it injecting these other slugs into my permalinks?

    nevermind i discovered it was the “custom post type permalinks” plugin causing the problem. disabling it fixed the issue
