Hello, I’d like to make a wordpress-forum with the following feature:
The Forum will be part of a free membership, so it will be readable for everyone who is logged-in in the membership area,
but it should only be readable but not writeable (!).
Writing-Access (answer to an existing topic or make a new one) should only be possible for members, who became a higher membership-level by paying an amount before.
Is there a possibility to make that beeing done?

can you give an example of exactly what you have as a shortcode that doesn’t work

It’s simple [bbp-single-topic id=724]
but there is not any result on the webpage.
Clicking on WP Menus->Forums at Forum-ID the number 724 is shown.
Via the hyperlink https://www.domain.com/root/forum/forum1/ the Topics are shown correctly.

The shortcodes [bbp-topic-index] and [bbp-stats] (without any ID) on the other hand work perfectly.

ok, just tested this on my test site, and it works fine.

It could be a theme or plugin issue

Themes

As a test switch to a default theme such as twentyfifteen, and see if this fixes.

Plugins

If that doesn’t work, also deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.
