Hi,

I’m currently installing a BBpress forum.

I’ve two problems :

-I can’t change the “visibility” of a forum or a category : It’s doesn’t save the change.
Have you any idea to fix this problem ?

And also, I want to know if is possible to “separate” the different category of my BBpress forum since a PHPBB forum ?

A hierarchy function like phpBB is not yet possible, without hacking your theme. You can find that hack here on the forums.

The visibility thing is a bug right now. To change forums to private or hidden you need to use the bulk edit mode.

What is bulk edit mode ?
I’ve seen the “visibility” problem will be fixed in the next version, I can wait.

Bulk Edit is where on the WP-Admin > Forums page you select multiple Forums and use a Bulk Action to edit them. There’s a tutorial (for posts, but it’s the same thing) here: http://wordpress.tv/2009/01/14/using-quick-edit-and-bulk-edit-to-manage-your-posts-in-half-the-time/

But yes, it is on the roadmap for the 2.4.1 release if you’re not in a hurry.
