Is there a way to give the user the option to set which profile data is viewable to other users? Meaning, if a user wants his first name or last name visible to others, is there a way to let him do this?

If you don’t want to show your name and surname don’t specify them in your profile. Otherwise other members will see “Name Surname (login-name)” in the profile page.
