Which role do I give a user, who is supposed to only post in the forums and not create any other content?

Thanks Robin,

when I first create a new user, there is no option to set rights for the forum, only when I edit the user, is it shown.

As I see it now, a user who is subscriber to the site, is automatically give participant rights. I only need to set forum rights, if I want to limit or extend that.
